Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), the nation’s 11th largest school division, is seeking a proven leader to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of the Department of Human Resources.

The Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources leads and manages the critical functions of benefit services, equity and employee relations, and talent acquisition and management, as well as the business services required to support them. The Assistant Superintendent works in concert with other departments and offices to provide equitable and consistent HR practices across FCPS, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment for all employees.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, human resources, psychology, or a closely related field; plus eight years of progressively more responsible experience in human resources management. Doctoral degree preferred. Knowledge of the principles and practices of public school system policies and human resources programs; and knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements applicable to the FCPS human resources programs.
