The Chief Financial Officer oversees district finances for the school department and is responsible for the district’s financial strategy as well as the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

The CFO is responsible for the following core functions:

• Ensuring both the short-term and long-term financial health of the district. This includes ensuring the district makes sound financial decisions to balance its budget annually, as well as ensuring district decisions are aligned to the long-term financial outlook for the district
• Provide excellent customer service to schools and to ensure budget functions and processes are aligned with school level needs. This includes developing and managing a high performing team in the Finance department, and providing clear and timely communication to school and district staff members
• Collaborates closely with key external stakeholders including municipal, state, and community leaders
• Manage the day to day operations of the Finance department, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and purchasing
