District & Community Information

Cobre Consolidated School District (CSD), located in Bayard, New Mexico rests in the foothills of the Gila National Forest in the southwestern portion of the State of New Mexico. In addition to beautiful mountain views, the climate is noted for its clear mountain air, low humidity and four gentle  seasons. The area’s quiet charm and friendly ways combine with a range of outdoor recreation options. Close access to neighboring Silver City provides a vibrant historic downtown, an arts community, and dozens of festivals and events throughout the year. Urban amenities in Albuquerque are  Less than four hours to the north, Las Cruces is just under two hours to the east, and Tucson, AZ is within 4 hours to the west.

Cobre CSD operates four Pre-K – 5 elementary schools located in Bayard, Santa Clara, Hurley and San Lorenzo; a middle school (6-8); and a high school (9-12) with a total district enrollment of approximately 1,100 students. The district provides four preschool programs, one at each elementary school, for eligible students and families.

Position Summary

The Coordinator of Informational Technology coordinates and supervises all aspects of instructional technology in the district, including instructional integration, technology standards, professional development, and curriculum development. Provide leadership, consultation, and technical  assistance to the District and its staff in the utilization and implementation of technology. The Coordinator of Information Technology must be customer service oriented. This position reports directly to the Superintendent. Please see the detailed job description below.

Compensation

Starting Salary: $75,000
($125 additional compensation for approved years of experience)
