Garfield School District RE-2 is seeking and interim Director of Finance to begin immediately! The individual will provide and be accountable for the leadership, strategic direction, management, quality control, and evaluation of all financial operations, programs, and activities with the District. The number one responsibility will be to develop the budget for the next fiscal year and adhering to the budget timeline. A Master’s Degree in finance, accounting or equivalent field is required. A minimum of five years leading financial operations in education or governmental operations is required.
The District is located in Rifle, Colorado and serves approximately 4,700 students over 10 schools. Rifle is easily accessible from I-70 and located 25 miles from Glenwood Springs. With its river, lakes, water falls, and hiking, it is ideally suited for a leader who embraces a love of the outdoors along with a professional passion for excellence and resourcefulness.
