Superintendent – Northbrook, IL Grades K-08

Northbrook School District 27 is seeking an educational leader to serve as superintendent following the retirement of Dr. Kroeze who has served with distinction the last twenty-nine years. By all measures, this PK-8 elementary district excels, and the schools are the pride of the community.   The district consistently ranks in the 98^th or 99^th percentile in statewide academic achievement and has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for 11 consecutive years.  Serving ~1330 students in three schools,  Northbrook District 27 is distinguished by its innovative leaders, dedicated teachers, motivated students, engaged parents, and community partnerships.

The new leader will need to live and breathe the core values and sustain and strengthen a long tradition of academic excellence, fiscal health and responsibility, robust co-curricular programming, and thoughtful innovation.  The candidate must have experience with, and  a working knowledge of, performance excellence models.  Additionally, recent and relevant experience addressing students’ and staff’s social-emotional health as schooling moves beyond the trauma and challenges of educating during the pandemic is essential.
