The Phoenixville Area School District’s Board of Directors seeks an exemplary educational leader with successful experience in a district or organization of similar complexity and size to serve as successor Superintendent of Schools beginning on or around September 1, 2023.

Phoenixville Area School District (PASD) is a top-rated, public-school district located in Phoenixville, PA. The Phoenixville Area School District is located in beautiful Chester County, bordering historic Valley Forge National Park. Once a major steel town, Phoenixville has experienced a rebirth in the past decade, and now consistently can be found on Top Ten lists of Best Pennsylvania Cities (Movoto) and Best Places to Live in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia Magazine).

Phoenixville is located 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia at the junction of French Creek and the Schuylkill River with a population of approximately 19,000. PASD serves the communities of Phoenixville Borough, East Pikeland Township and Schuylkill Township. Phoenixville Area School District, with an enrollment of approximately 4,000 students and 6 schools, is a K – 12 district with one Early Learning Center (K-1), three elementary schools (2-5), one middle schools (6-8), and one high school (9-12).*

Specific desired leadership characteristics and qualifications are expected to be available and posted on or around May 12, 2023. Candidates must have or be immediately eligible for a PADOE Superintendent Letter of Eligibility 90. A multi-year contract will be offered.
