In addition to serving as a Senior Associate for Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, I serve as President of Human Capital Enterprises, a small consulting firm focused on talent development and strategic human resources consulting for school districts and other public entities. Focus areas include HR Audit, Compensation Analysis, and Executive Search. I have led C-Suite searches across the country and have helped find CEOs in some of the nation’s largest school districts. In recent months I have led the search that brought the new school superintendent to Portland, Oregon, Richland, Washington, and Beaverton, Oregon; new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer to Prince George’s County Public Schools near Washington, DC; and I’m thrilled to have been one of the three consultants on the team to bring a new superintendent to Richmond, Virginia’s schools.
In recent years I served as Executive Director of the Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators and previously served as Interim Executive Director of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators. At the Virginia Association of School Personnel Administrators, I oversaw significant expansion of membership and corporate partnerships, including increasing net reserves by over 400%; expanding corporate partnerships by 200%, and expanding membership by 60%.
