John T. Aycock served in public education for 39 years with 32 of those years serving as an administrator. With teaching experience in North Carolina, Mr. Aycock moved to Alaska where he served as an assistant principal and high school principal. He then moved to California and served for 28 years starting as a principal then moving to an Assistant Superintendent position in Barstow USD, then Superintendent in the Cucamonga SD, Rim of the World USD and Vacaville USD. Mr. Aycock was, and still is, active with ACSA, AASA and several other professional organizations. While an active superintendent, he was selected as the Region 4 Superintendent of the Year twice and hosted the ACSA Superintendent Academy for 3 years. With experience in rural, suburban and urban areas and working with a variety of board members addressing school and district challenges, Mr. Aycock brings expertise in recruiting talented administrators, educational services, board/superintendent relationships, public relations and school district finance.
