Dr. Lee Bush has served students and schools for forty years in schools in Wisconsin and Florida as an elementary teacher in regular and special education, elementary principal, and superintendent, as well as a bus driver and athletic director. This variety of experiences assisting children and other stakeholders with their needs gives him the attributes necessary to assist districts with superintendent searches and board support. Lee received his undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from Eastern Illinois University, his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, and his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Miami (FL). For the last five years, he has assisted districts across the country as their interim superintendent, helping them with successful transitions to new leadership. Lee is adept at building relationships and connections with everyone, and has used his expertise and calm demeanor to heal boards that have had unique relationship and/or governance concerns. He enjoys conducting board retreats and governance sessions, and has mentored several new superintendents and principals. He lives with his wife of 34 years, Faye, in Englewood, Florida, along with their new Schnauzer puppy, Lovey.
