Michael Jones is an Education and non-profit leadership professional with fifteen years of experience including curriculum design, teacher training, strategic planning, operations, and non-profit governance.
Michael’s nonprofit life started in his teens, when he served on the board of directors for two youth advocacy nonprofits (one local, one national), as well as co-founding a political action committee aimed at promoting human rights.
In his adult life, he has taught a wide range of ages and subjects in both the US and abroad. In 2010 he expanded the focus of his work to promoting exceptional educational experiences for children in need through program development, non-profit management, and teacher training.
Noteworthy examples of these efforts include: designing science, math, and social studies curriculums for Cambodian classrooms, founding a nonprofit publisher and distributor of open educational resources designed for the developing world, conducting research as a US Fulbright grantee in Lao PDR, serving as an English Language Specialist for the US Department of State, and managing the distribution of millions of books and resources to educators working with children in need here in the US.
