Becky Berger has worked as a psychotherapist and parent educator for over 25 years. She has worked as a school social worker at both Highland Park High School and Lake Forest High School. She has also been employed as an intervention specialist at the Northern Suburban Special Education District. For the past 20 years, Becky has established a successful private practice in Northbrook, Illinois serving individuals, couples and families. Her specialties include treatment of adolescents, student advocacy, parent education and support, sports psychology, and school collaboration. She has presented throughout the Chicagoland area to school districts and parent organizations on topics including improving school climate by addressing bullying, ways to promote positive school culture, and supporting children and teens during the Covid pandemic and remote learning. Becky has also offered educational resources and presentations for parents and schools addressing suicide prevention, social media and its influence on youth, and strategies and techniques for supporting social-emotional well-being of all students, parents and staff. She often consults and collaborates with Chicagoland North Suburban schools.
Becky Berger earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Indiana University and a Masters of Social Worker Degree from Loyola University Chicago. She has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois since 1999.
