Dr. Lovely brings 34 years of experience serving K-12 schools in every capacity from instructional assistant, to teacher, to principal, to District Office leader. As Superintendent in Carlsbad, California she spearheaded several efforts in San Diego County to engage external stakeholders in the work of education including: implementation of a $13 million regional Career Pathways Grant; coordination of workforce readiness meetings with board members, community college presidents, and mayors; and creation of a Legislative Action Network for legislators and district officials to discuss public policy issues. Since retiring, Dr. Lovely has helped school districts design Kinder2Career roadmaps that integrate strategy and bold ideas as the new normal. She is a sought-after facilitator for governance training, leadership coaching and priority management. Dr. Lovely has authored three books and numerous articles on leadership development. Her fourth book, The World of Work (WOW) Advantage (Solution Tree) is slated for release in 2019.
