I have been fortunate to spend the last 37 years in the field of education. What started out as a temporary journey until I went to law school ended up being one of the passions of my life. I recently retired from Queen Bee Schools after spending 25 years there, 10 as the Superintendent. It was truly an honor and privilege to serve the community of Glendale Heights. I am extremely proud of the work that I was able to accomplish with a great team of board members, administrators, teachers and staff.

Currently I am working with IASA as a Field Service Director and Hazard, Young and Attea as an Associate. These positions allow me to utilize my skills and expertise gained through my experiences to continue to have an impact on public education.

I have spent the majority of my career as an educational leader and I have worked with some of the most extraordinary educators along the way. As I reflect on the past 30+ years, I am so appreciative of the great organizations that I was able to be a part of and learn from. I am excited to use these experiences to assist other districts in maximizing their potential.

I am also a wife and mother of two young women, one who is challenged by a medical condition that contributed to her need for special education services throughout her school experience. As a trained special education teacher I found myself unprepared for the reality of sitting on the other side of the table as the parent of a child challenged with a disability. This experience deepened my passion for doing what is best for ALL students. It also gave me great insight to the challenges that exist in systems and made me a better leader. I believe that this experience strengthened my skills in the areas of human resources and creating a strong healthy culture.

As a former special education teacher and curriculum leader I have expertise in strategic planning and goal setting focused on results!
