Michael Haynes brings more than 30 years of experience in public education, including over 25 years in leadership roles as principal, superintendent, and chief executive of a regional educational service agency. His career has been defined by forging strong partnerships, aligning efforts across complex systems, and advancing work that reflects both innovation and a deep commitment to equity with a consistent focus on improving outcomes for all students.
As CEO of a midwest cooperative educational service agency, Michael led large-scale, cross-district initiatives serving member districts and more than 100 districts statewide. This role sharpened his ability to lead across systems, navigate political complexity, and translate vision into action through sustainable partnerships and coherent strategy.
Michael’s consulting work focuses on superintendent and executive search support, strategic planning, governance facilitation, executive coaching, and leadership development. He brings particular expertise in systems alignment, instructional improvement and literacy leadership, organizational culture and talent retention, community and interagency partnerships, and financial and operational coherence. Michael partners with boards and leadership teams to bring clarity, momentum, and trust to moments of transition, helping organizations move from vision to sustained impact.
