Chalanda Tucker is an accomplished strategy and project management professional with extensive experience leading complex initiatives across the public, nonprofit, faith-based, and private sectors. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), she supports mission-driven organizations in developing strategy management frameworks, implementing strategic plans, and monitoring performance targets to strengthen accountability and maximize return on investment. Her clients have included Atlanta Public Schools, the Clayton County Public Schools Foundation, the City of Atlanta, and the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership.
Most recently Chalanda has led major implementations in an urban K-12 school district supporting cross-functional initiatives in areas of Literacy, Nutrition, School Turnaround and Enrollment. Prior to serving full-time as the leader of Strategic Framework, she served as the district Strategy Manager and Director of the Strategic Program Management Office (PMO) for Atlanta Public Schools’ (APS) Accountability and Information Technology division. As the district’s Strategy Manager, Chalanda was responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the district’s Strategy Management Methodology, ensuring the district effectively leveraged its expertise in Project Management, Balanced Scorecard, Process Improvement and Data Governance to develop, implement, assess and continuously improved the district’s strategy. As the Director of the Strategic PMO, she was responsible for managing a team of project managers in the successful completion of critical strategic initiatives and process improvement efforts and maintaining and customizing the district’s Project Management Methodology. Under her leadership, APS secured its designation as a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.). This designation places APS at the forefront of educational entities increasing the level of project management maturity within their organizations.
Chalanda holds an MBA from the University of Louisville’s College of Business, and she graduated from Spelman College with a degree in Economics. Her unique professional experiences are undergirded by her certifications. She earned her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification at the Project Management Institute (PMI) and a Masters Certificate in Project Management at George Washington University’s School of Business and Public Management. Her Certificate in Information Technology was earned at Georgia Institute of Technology, and she completed Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification from the Palladium Group (Boston, MA).
