Dr. Mark McLaughlin has served in executive roles in K-12 public education for over 25 years; these roles have included Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, and Instruction and Curriculum Director. His professional expertise includes crisis management through the active engagement of relevant partners to meet, address, and successfully manage personnel, financial, and other senior-level leadership challenges. Additionally, Dr. McLaughlin is a certified AI learning consultant who has supported the need to identify, implement, and enforce parameters for its acceptable use in learning environments. Dr. McLaughlin also facilitates the work of creating and sustaining strong, highly functional and adaptable leadership teams, understanding that the core of student success lies in the strength and dependability of the systems that support it.
Dr. McLaughlin has a breadth of experience in K-12 public education, spanning curriculum development, oversight and evaluation of teachers and senior staff, program development and implementation, strategic planning, and community building in support of long term success for public education. As public schools face increasing competition from a fast growing number of choice options, Dr. McLaughlin has the proven ability to encourage and pro-actively manage growth, change and adaptation in the public K-12 space to meet the challenges of the contemporary education landscape.
