Dr. Ronald G. Taylor is an educational consultant, executive leadership coach, author, and former superintendent with more than 30 years of experience in public education. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for leading transformative, equity-centered work focused on instructional improvement, organizational coherence, leadership development, and strategic systems change.
As Superintendent, Dr. Taylor led nationally recognized school integration initiatives while also overseeing academic programming, operational systems, and capital and facilities projects. His leadership consistently emphasized equity, transparency, student achievement, community engagement, and the development of sustainable systems designed to support long-term organizational success.
Today, Dr. Taylor serves as an HYA Associate and Founder of Team Taylor Leadership Solutions LLC (teamtaylorleadership.com) where he partners with school districts, boards of education, executive leaders, principals, and aspiring administrators across multiple states. His consulting work focuses on executive coaching, instructional leadership, strategic planning, board governance, leadership pipeline development, data-driven school improvement, equity-centered leadership, and organizational effectiveness.
Dr. Taylor currently leads and facilitates multiple leadership academies designed to support aspiring and sitting educational leaders, including executive leadership cohorts, aspiring administrator programs, and operational leadership development initiatives. He also provides individualized executive coaching and leadership development support for superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, and district leadership teams.
In addition to his consulting work, Dr. Taylor is the author of The Courage to Lead with Integrity for Equity, a leadership-focused book that explores practical strategies for leading complex educational systems with courage, clarity, integrity, and a commitment to equitable outcomes for students and communities. His work frequently integrates practical leadership experiences with actionable systems thinking designed to help leaders move organizations from compliance to coherence.
Dr. Taylor is also a speaker, presenter, and thought partner on topics including educational equity, instructional leadership, leadership development, student achievement, organizational culture, school turnaround efforts, community engagement, and strategic systems improvement.
