Dr. Ken Arndt holds a doctorate in education from The Toledo University and has over 35 years of school leadership experience working in districts ranging in enrollment of 500 to 40,000 pre k – 12th grade students. Dr. Arndt served as an Adjunct Professor for Argosy University for 12 years, continues to be a member of AASA and has been an Associate for HYA for 8 years. Prior to his role at HYA, he was the Community Unit School District 300, IL Superintendent for 10 years.
Throughout his career he has worked in turnaround districts that brought about needed improvements financially and academically. Twice, he received “Those Who Excel” awards from the Illinois State Board of Education and was recognized as the Kane County, IL Regional Office of Education Administrator of the Year. His expertise has facilitated efforts toward improving human capital management, strategic planning and resource allocation.
As an Associate for HYA, Dr. Ken Arndt has been a part over a dozen executive search and strategic planning teams the past eight years. He was most recently the lead associate for the Elgin U-46 search for Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and is completing the search for Superintendent, Chester Community Charter Schools, PA.
