Frank S. Henderson, Jr. brings over 25 years of Education and Governing experience, serving as President of the National School Board Association, Kansas Association of School Boards and the Seaman School District in Kansas. Additionally, he served extensively in state government as an Executive Director in the Office of the Attorney General and Chairman of the Kansas Parole Board.
Henderson is recognized as a leader in Governance, Board Development and Strategic Planning. As an education advocate, he has lobbied for excellence and equity in public education. He recognizes the power of excellent leadership in ensuring each student can thrive, equipped with an education that prepares them for success in whatever path they choose. Henderson is committed to reducing the school to prison pipeline and creating a wide path for all students to reach their potential for success.
Henderson, a presenter on diversity and leadership initiatives, serves on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education. He also is a former Commissioner with the Education Commission of the States, having received various awards and recognitions for his efforts in education and his community.
