Richland School District Two

Richland School District Two is located in Richland County in Columbia, South Carolina, the state’s capital. With over 28,000 students and average yearly growth of 400, it is one of the largest and fastest-growing public school districts in South Carolina. Our District leads the state in the number of National Board Certified Teachers who have earned this distinction. Richland School District Two is the fifth largest school district in the state. We serve more than 28,000 pre-K through 12th grade students in forty-one schools and centers: twenty elementary schools, seven middle schools, five high schools, four magnet centers, one alternative school, and the Richland Two Institute of Innovation, or R2i2. A district of choice, where every school is an excellent choice, Richland Two offers 37 magnet programs catering to the individual interests and needs of our learners. The District also has an adult and continuing education program.
