Ms. Lisa Salley holds a BS in Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science as well as a MS in Management Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively. She has over 25 years in strategy, transformation, and governance experiences in companies, non-profits, and large urban school districts. She has served as Growth & Risk Management Faculty for over 10 years in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program in Philadelphia, New York City, and Babson College. She has been an effective Senior Associate with HYA since 2023. Prior to her role in education, she worked in Top 10 Fortune companies where, as Division President, she led multiple global P&Ls, with the largest in a $13B highly regulated market. In 2024, Lisa also completed additional Entrepreneurship Training.
Lisa has uniquely championed improvement roadmaps, change management, scaling, and leadership for underperforming organizations including large urban school districts. She is a highly sought after thought leader on crisis management and workforce of the future. She spent formative years at GE during the Jack Welch Era and where she distinguished herself running both day-to-day operations and high growth incubator strategies. She established a reputation as an entrepreneurial catalyst, a developer of talent, and a turn-around leader. She has been repeatedly recognized for top tier leadership and performance. Ms. Salley designed and relaunched the Community Engagement and Board Governance models for effective local control in one of a Top 10 school district. Also, she designed the executive search process and onboarding strategy or one of the fastest improving school districts in the United States. She is Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certified and is no stranger to data-driven cultural transformation. She is masterful at transforming data into actionable insights.
