HYA is proud to congratulate the Sun Prairie Area School District on the successful completion of its superintendent search and the selection of Dr. Antoine Reed as the district’s next Superintendent.
Following a comprehensive national search process, the Sun Prairie Board of Education voted unanimously to offer Dr. Reed the position, later approving his contract to officially finalize his appointment. Dr. Reed will begin his role on July 1, bringing with him a strong background in educational leadership, organizational development, and community engagement.
HYA Vice President, Dr. Mike Richie and his team were honored to partner with Sun Prairie Area School District throughout this important leadership transition, supporting a search process designed to prioritize stakeholder voice, transparency, and alignment with the district’s future goals.
The search drew approximately 25 applicants, with district leadership conducting multiple interview rounds before narrowing the field to three finalists. Final candidates participated in extensive engagement opportunities with staff, students, families, and community members during visits to the district.
A hallmark of the process was the district’s commitment to gathering broad community input. More than 60 focus groups were conducted with participation from over 130 individuals, alongside a districtwide survey completed by nearly 1,300 stakeholders to help define the qualities and leadership attributes desired in the next superintendent.
