About Company
Blane McCann earned a doctorate in education from Marquette University and served as a school administrator for 33 years. He worked closely with Stanford University’s Accelerated Schools Project and collaborates with Renzulli Center of Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development developing personalized learning opportunities for all students. Blane is the coauthor of When They Already Know It: How to Extend and Personalize Learning in a PLC at Work. He serves as an associate with Solution Tree Publishing. Previous to consulting and coaching, Blane served as superintendent in Shorewood, Wisconsin, Westside Community Schools, Omaha Nebraska, and Piper USD 203, Kansas City, Kansas.
Blane is a certified Gallup CliftonStrengths Coach coaching principals, superintendents, and board members throughout the midwest. Blane focuses on building the strengths of students and staff as a school leader and consultant. He is working with schools and school districts to build cultures of growth and development leading to high performing teams. He consults with school boards and superintendents on the topic of board governance and developing the critical board/superintendent relationship. Finally, Blane counsels school districts as they implement a personalized learning approach to increase student engagement with the curriculum and instruction of the district.
Blane’s recent clients include the Nebraska State Board of Education, School District of Janesville, Janesville Wisconsin; Little Elm ISD, Little Elm Texas; New Prairie School Corporation, New Carlisle, IN; Ralston School District, Ralston, Nebraska and the Nebraska Educational Technology Association.
