Dr. Elfreda Massie is passionate about education and learning and has over 40 years of experience driving transformative change and initiating system redesign in high performing and challenging environments in diverse education communities
Dr Massie served as the Director for Education and Workforce Success with the National League of Cities (NLC) in Washington, DC. Dr. Massie was also instrumental in the K12 Strategy at Class Technologies, a platform built on Zoom that provides teaching and learning tools to the virtual classroom. She was a Distinguished National Facilitator for the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE) where she trained cohorts of school district superintendents and principals in a research- based executive development program designed to give district and school administrators the critical knowledge and skills to become instructional leaders.
Dr. Massie has served as Superintendent and other cabinet level leadership and operations positions in complex and urban systems. She also has served as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University.
In the private sector she served as a leader for K12 Education with Class Technologies; Blackboard Connect; Harcourt Achieve; and Global Partnership Schools.
Dr. Massie provides consulting services for public and private schools. Her focus is on recruiting and coaching leaders; operations; Human Resources; technology; board transitions and strategic planning. Her collaborative processes provides support for schools to impact on their plans.
