Dr. Emmett Shaffer has held significant roles in the urban setting. In addition to volunteer work the Emmett sponsored programs in specialized leadership training and consulting services supporting school and district level leadership, nonprofit executives, and corporate leaders.
During his tenure in educational administration, Dr. Shaffer worked with programs and services in school counseling, social work, and graduation coaching. As an education leadership faculty member at the University of Georgia, Dr. Shaffer collaborates with a range of school districts across from small to large, serving as an executive coach to superintendents and school principals. He has also served in an urban leadership role for the United Way.
Dr. Shaffer’s academic qualifications include business administration with a focus on management; school counseling and counseling program supervision; school improvement and leadership. His academic and professional experiences and interests can serve schools with student and school level support; improving school culture and leadership; and parent and community networking with effective engagement. His leadership support, training and coaching provides district level guidance and focus on improvement.
