Jennifer McDonnell began her career teaching middle school math and science and later serving as an Instructional Support Leader across 35 schools in an urban system. She assumed the role of K-12 Director of Curriculum and Instruction in a large suburban system. Her work included designing a math curriculum aligned with Common Core and ACT College Readiness Standards, establishing community partnerships, and spearheading a comprehensive seven-year strategic plan for math and instructional technology.
Later Jennifer served as Senior Director of State and District Partnerships at The College Board, providing consultative support to districts and state departments. Her work focused on college and career readiness initiatives, implementing the SAT Suite of Assessments and leveraging data for school improvement. Notably, Jennifer developed and executed a strategic plan for Advanced Placement in a large urban system, resulting in the largest national five-year growth in participation and exam success. She also led the transition from ACT to SAT and served as the contract manager for the SAT for the state of Indiana.
Jennifer excels in strategic planning, forging impactful partnerships, and delivering professional development. Her expertise in assessment programs, including PSAT, SAT, ACT, and Advanced Placement, has been pivotal in driving educational outcomes for districts. She blends data-driven decision-making with a steadfast commitment to equity to enhance student achievement
