Dr. Joanne Lane has over 40 years of diverse K-12 educational experience, including roles such as assistant superintendent of student services, and director of special education. Currently, Dr. Lane works as a special education consultant and parent advocate.
A passionate advocate for special education, Dr. Lane emphasizes social justice and educational leadership in her work. She authored, “The Principal’s Special Education Calendar: A Month-by-Month Roadmap to Building Consistency, Equity, and Compliance in Your School,” published by Routledge. Recognized for her expertise, her programs have been honored as models of best practices.
