WSD is a high achieving, forward-thinking, and richly diverse public school district serving about 7,000 students and their families. WSD has a strong commitment to creating a sense of belonging for all students. We are focused on increasing the diversity of staff in our schools, and we encourage educators of all backgrounds to consider joining our amazing District.
WSD consists of 16 schools: 11 elementary, two middle schools, two high schools, a Montessori school, and a virtual school. These neighborhood schools are nestled in the charming suburb of Wauwatosa, about 15 minutes west of downtown Milwaukee and the shores of Lake Michigan. Our educational community’s long history of excellence has been recognized both regionally and nationally.
