About Company
Dr. Kaine Osburn holds a doctorate in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies from Loyola University in Chicago and has more than 30 years of experience in the K-12 educational sector, including twenty in leadership. A former College Board Trustee, Kaine has led K-12 and K-8 districts, worked in larger and smaller districts, and has developed transformative initiatives in high performing districts, always with an eye on improving equitable outcomes.
Dr. Osburn’s strengths as a superintendent have centered on strong Board-Superintendent relations, strategic communication and strategic planning, school finance and referenda. In teaching and learning, Dr. Osburn has led districts through transformative work in summer learning programs, early literacy improvement, and MTSS.
An Associate for HYA, all of the above work by Dr. Osburn and more has focused on how to develop relationships, approaches and systems that improve equitable outcomes for students. Dr. Osburn is versed in the strategies that improve DEIB across stakeholder groups and how such improvement is a key part of systemic change.
