Katie Fleener, Ph.D.

Dr. Fleener has two decades of career-oriented higher education experience. As an accomplished executive academic and operational leader, she has held the roles of associate provost and dean for numerous colleges and universities offering a wide range of degrees and certificates. Her educational pursuits and professional career have spanned the private and public sectors, for-profit and non-profit industries, and two-year and four-year institutions.
Dr. Fleener holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has extensive experience in teaching and learning, management and leadership, service and scholarship, and strategic planning. Additionally, she has taught courses, led workshops, and published on psychology and career-focused programming. Her responsibilities have spanned undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral-level teaching and program oversight, with a technical and STEM career focus.
Dr. Fleener’s primary focus has been serving learners throughout the West Coast. As such, her work has centered around building pathways and fostering relationships between and among the K-12, community college, and 4-year university sectors. In addition to her time spent in higher education, Dr. Fleener serves the K-12 sector as a board member on a school board and board chair for an elementary school, and multiple advisory committees. Additionally, she serves as a peer evaluator for WSCUC.
