Dr. Kim Suedbeck has been an educator since 1984 as a special education teacher, special education supervisor, assistant/associate principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. She has a vast array of instructional and curriculum experience and knowledge at all grade and ability levels. Kim has been involved in educational leadership/superintendent searches as an internal facilitator as well as a participant in the search process. Currently, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University, where she teaches educational leadership as well as methods for preservice teachers. Other professional roles include the Professional Development Coordinator for the Kishwaukee Region for Illinois Association of School Administrators as well as an instructional coach for underperforming school districts. She is trained in Cambrian (formerly The Cambridge Group) as an Internal Facilitator of Strategic Planning, Myers-Briggs Personality Indicators, coaching, and grant writing. Additionally, she uses her experience to develop regional and statewide partnerships to coordinate services for students and staff. In her spare time, she is a fine art photographer and loves telling a story through her photos.
