Richard E Berry holds a BBA degree from North Texas University and an MEd from Hardin-Simmons University. He has 23 years of school leadership experience. He currently serves as President of Rick Berry & Associates, an educational consulting company representing several businesses in the field of education. Mr. Berry is a member of AASA and past president of The Urban Superintendents Association of America. He has been a successful Senior Associate with HYA for 10 years.He served as Superintendent of Schools in Arlington ISD and Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in Texas.
Mr. Berry served in two of the largest and fastest growing districts in Texas for a total of 16 years. During those years, Mr. Berry built and opened 30 new schools and renovated approximately 50 schools.He led Cypress-Fairbanks to be the largest Recognized school district in Texas during his last 5 years as Superintendent. He was honored as Texas Superintendent of the Year in 2003-2004. The Richard E Berry Educational Support Center in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD was named for Mr. Berry by the school board in 2003.
As a Senior Associate for HYA, Mr. Berry has been part of 12 executive searches in the last decade.
