Dr. Thomas “Tom” Lawson holds a doctorate in education from Kansas State University and has over 30 years of school and district level leadership experience. Dr. Lawson has recently retired from public education after serving as an Executive Director of a Board of Cooperative Services, Superintendent of Schools, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Special Services, Assistant Professor of Education, Adjunct Professor of Education at Baker University and Adam’s State University, and as the Director of Education at a special purpose school. He served on many committees for the United School Administrators of Kansas, and for the Kansas State Department of Education.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lawson has been a champion for the education of every child and is an accomplished speaker. He has presented at many local, state, and national conventions. In 2012, he was presented as the Kansas Administrator of the Year by the Administrative Office Personnel. Dr. Lawson led successful school bond initiatives, has been involved with strategic planning, and served as Chairman of a Leadership Academy.
Dr. Lawson continues to develop new leaders; leadership teams and facilitate strategic plans and executive searches. His work with improving the culture and success of school districts at the board and leadership levels will impact future goals.
