Michigan State's College of Education to Launch National Professional Learning Academies for Senior Education Leaders
HYA is proud to announce a new partnership with the Michigan State University College of Education, one of the nation’s most distinguished and highly ranked colleges of education. Together, the two organizations will design and deliver a series of professional learning academies to support the nation’s network of senior-level education leaders.
This collaboration brings together HYA’s extensive experience in leadership development, strategic planning, and executive search with MSU’s decades-long reputation for excellence in educator preparation, research, and national leadership in education policy and practice. The joint academies will provide superintendents, central office administrators, and other senior leaders with immersive, high-impact learning experiences tailored to the evolving demands of K–12 systems.
“Partnering with Michigan State University College of Education allows us to expand our shared commitment to ensuring every school system has strong, effective leadership,” said Nanci Perez, HYA President. “This partnership elevates the level of support available to education leaders nationwide through research-grounded, practice-driven professional learning.”
The inaugural academies are scheduled to launch in early 2026, with additional cohorts and specialty pathways to follow. Each academy will feature nationally recognized experts, applied leadership development, strategic problem-solving, and opportunities for collaborative learning and networking across districts and states.
Additional details, including registration information and academy themes, will be released in the coming months on HYA’s Academy page.
