HYA offers a variety of leadership and professional development academies through its academic partners geared toward growing high impact leaders.
Howard University
Howard University’s School of Education is collaborating with HYA to provide three leadership academies designed to bolster K-12 Educational Leadership. The academies are specifically tailored to enhance the representation of Black, Hispanic, women, and other underrepresented groups in leadership positions within U.S. public schools. Additionally, our partnership with the National School Board Association and the Council of Urban Boards of Education will empower school boards to excel in superintendent evaluations, policy formulation, and budget management. These academies mark a significant step forward in our commitment to nurturing exemplary leadership in education.
Each academy is a certificated program through Howard University. Individuals will receive a certificate from Howard University upon completion of each academy. All three academies include an executive coach for each participant. The participant’s coach is part of the structure and goals of the program to enhance skills, set goals, and build professional relationships.
