Dr. Terri Breeden has over thirty plus years as an educator. She has served as a Chief Academic Officer, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, Principal, Assistant Principal, Math Specialist, and Teacher.

During her career she has worked in five different school systems in Tennessee, Virginia, and Ohio. These diverse districts have ranged from 6,000 to 181,000 students and from 21.3 percent to 100 percent economically disadvantaged.

Dr. Breeden is active in the policy arena. In 2017, she served as an ESSA Peer Reviewer for the United States Department of Education. She has a doctorate (School Administration) and a masters (Special Education) from Vanderbilt. Terri has authored eight books on a wide variety of educational topics from positive classroom management to mathematics to raising student achievement.  She has written and received numerous grants from government agencies and private foundations.

She enjoys professional football, reading the latest bestselling novel, and trying a new recipe. The Breeden’s reside in Jacksonville, NC with their sweet Boston Terrier, Bella Bean.
