I am confident that, together with the dedicated staff and supportive community, we can achieve great things for the students of Yorkville.”
The Yorkville CUSD Board of Education employed Hazard, Young, Attea, and Associates (HYA) to guide the search for a new superintendent. HYA Senior Associate Dr. Brian Harris and Dr. Karen Sullivan collaborated with the District in the search that resulted in the hiring of Mr. Matthew Zediker. Prior to the search, HYA associates provided the board with a slate of interim candidates and they chose two retired Superintendents in suburban Chicago to lead the district during the 2023-24 school year. This will provide a smooth transition for the new Superintendent over the next few months. “Yorkville has a very strong hometown culture with the school district as the center point of the community. Superintendent Zeditker is an excellent person to lead the school district into the future,” said Dr. Brian Harris who was the lead consultant on the search for HYA.
