HYA is proud to have partnered with Fenton Community High School District 100 on the successful completion of its superintendent search. Following a comprehensive and inclusive process, the Board of Education unanimously selected Dr. Jason Klein as the district’s next superintendent, with his tenure set to begin on July 1, 2026.
Dr. Klein currently serves as Senior Director of Learning Partnerships at Northern Illinois University, where his work focuses on collaboration between schools, higher education, and community partners. He brings to Fenton a strong background in secondary education, district leadership, and postsecondary and workforce readiness.
The Board sought a leader who could build upon the district’s strong foundation while guiding Fenton into its next chapter. Throughout the search process, Dr. Klein stood out for his clear vision, deep understanding of Fenton’s strengths, and genuine commitment to students, staff, and the broader community.
Dr. Klein is already familiar with Fenton’s work, having collaborated with district educators in recent years on the development of its Postsecondary and Career Expectations framework. That experience, combined with his career as a teacher, principal, district administrator, and university leader, positions him well to support student success both during high school and beyond graduation.
As part of the search, HYA Associates Kerry Foderaro and Lynn Burks worked closely with the Board of Education to engage stakeholders and gather input that shaped the district’s leadership profile. Feedback from students, staff, families, and community members helped clarify priorities and expectations for Fenton’s next superintendent, ensuring alignment between district values and leadership selection.
