Chief Family & Community Partnerships Officer – Vacancy

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) is seeking a Chief Family & Community Partnerships Officer beginning on August 1, 2025, (or when available) with a base salary range expected to be $170,555 to $204,057 (based on experience). Located in southeastern Wisconsin, MPS is the largest school district in the state, serving approximately 68,000 students. MPS is committed to accelerating student achievement, building positive relationships between youth and adults, and cultivating leadership at all levels. U.S. News and World Report rated five MPS high schools among the best in the state in the spring of 2024. The Class of 2024 earned more than $113 million in scholarships and grants. The District has about 9,590 employees, and a budget of $1.47 billion in total revenues and expenditures. Education is provided in 156 buildings, including 21 bilingual schools, five of Wisconsin’s top high schools, eight public Montessori schools, and 11 International Baccalaureate schools. The diverse population includes students speaking 81 native languages.

Chief Family & Community Partnerships Officer reports to the Superintendent
Position Summary/Purpose:
Provides visionary leadership to galvanize and deploy the necessary resources to execute a model community engagement strategy which advances the mission of Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS). Works to strengthen partnerships among parents, communities and schools to improve student academic achievement and success. Collaborates and leads enrollment campaigns and engages with diverse and multilingual families and communities. Collaborates and coordinates with MPS, local businesses and the community to build diverse partnerships for students. Oversees and directs a department that is solely focused on the development and maintenance of district partnerships and family engagement, with the ultimate goal of supporting the students of MPS.
Education Requirements:
- A master’s degree in education or a related field is required.
- A Director of Instruction License (#10) from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is desired.
Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of successful experience working with parents and community engagement is required.
- Five or more years working in an urban school district is required.
- Three or more years of management experience is required.
