Professional Experience, Foundational Leadership Skills & Core Competencies
Instructional Leadership
- Proven elementary (P-8) instructional visionary who can guide transformation, advance high levels of thinking, and champion active learning and experiential education approaches.
Financial & Operations Acumen
- Possesses strong operational skills and has made sound resource allocation decisions, prioritizing students with transparency and accountability that will maximize return on investment for student benefit.
Community-Building Capacity – A Community Connector
- Proven track record of building community to serve as a bridge to parents and community members/organizations of the greater Lincoln 156 community.
Governance & Organizational Skills
- Proven collaborative governance experiences that foster a healthy Board-Superintendent partnership.
- Has guided change management efforts that have influenced stakeholders toward a shared vision while supporting talent to grow authentically.
Communication & Transparency
- Proven transparent and objective decision-making with the ability to influence.
- Promote an innovative learning and open leadership environment for all – students, administration, community, and Board.
Position Qualifications and Foundational Leadership Skills
- A Terminal Degree;
- Illinois Professional Education License with Administrator and Superintendent Endorsement;
- Servant Leadership Orientation. Put students first in all decisions. Embrace community and see role as service to families, demonstrate intellectual engagement and curiosity, and visionary experience in educational transformation
- Relational & Interpersonal Skills. Approachable, present, and accessible leadership that will foster authentic relationships with the Board, staff, and community
