Professional Experience, Foundational Leadership Skills & Core Competencies

Instructional Leadership

  • Proven elementary (P-8) instructional visionary who can guide transformation, advance high levels of thinking, and champion active learning and experiential education approaches.

Financial & Operations Acumen

  • Possesses strong operational skills and has made sound resource allocation decisions, prioritizing students with transparency and accountability that will maximize return on investment for student benefit.

Community-Building Capacity – A Community Connector

  • Proven track record of building community to serve as a bridge to parents and community members/organizations of the greater Lincoln 156 community.

Governance & Organizational Skills

  • Proven collaborative governance experiences that foster a healthy Board-Superintendent partnership.
  • Has guided change management efforts that have influenced stakeholders toward a shared vision while supporting talent to grow authentically.

Communication & Transparency

  • Proven transparent and objective decision-making with the ability to influence.
  • Promote an innovative learning and open leadership environment for all – students, administration, community, and Board.

Position Qualifications and Foundational Leadership Skills

  • A Terminal Degree;
  • Illinois Professional Education License with Administrator and Superintendent Endorsement;
  • Servant Leadership Orientation.  Put students first in all decisions. Embrace community and see role as service to families, demonstrate intellectual engagement and curiosity, and visionary experience in educational transformation
  • Relational & Interpersonal Skills.  Approachable, present, and accessible leadership that will foster authentic relationships with the Board, staff, and community
