VACANCY
SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SOMERSET 

The School District of Somerset is seeking a Superintendent beginning on July 1, 2025, with a base salary range expected to be $160,000-$170,000 (based on experience); other benefits to be negotiated. 

The School District of Somerset has elements of rural and suburban communities and includes five municipalities: Town of Richmond, Town of St. Joseph, Town of Somerset, Town of Star Prairie, Village of Somerset. The Village of Somerset has a population of approximately 3,343. Somerset is located in northwest Wisconsin, approximately 35 minutes northeast of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and 75 minutes  northwest of Eau Claire. The school district spans over 57 square miles. The District has 182 employees with many years of service, and a general fund budget of over $18,500,000

Somerset offers a variety of housing options and rural living located in one of the fastest growing counties in Wisconsin, with the St. Croix River to the west and the Apple River passing through town. The district partners with Northwood Technical College and the University of Minnesota. The location offers options for advanced degrees or training for specialty occupations with UW-River Falls and other Twin Cities universities nearby. 

The District serves 1,452 (PK-12) students in one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school on one campus, also offering virtual learning for 6-12 students.
