FALLS CHURCH CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Falls Church City Public School District is seeking a superintendent beginning on July 1, 2025, with a salary in the range of $310,000 per annum subject to actual qualifications, experience, and negotiation.
The city of Falls Church is a unique and historic city, home to approximately 14,000 residents situated within 2.2 square miles and offers quick access to renowned museums and art galleries in nearby Washington, D.C., almost every neighborhood is a treasure of its own with a variety of restaurants and shops that reflect the city’s great ethnic and cultural diversity.
Falls Church City Public Schools enjoys an international reputation for excellence, and the division is committed to maintaining its standing as the premier K-12 International Baccalaureate school system in the nation, serving as one of only eight school districts in the nation with a K-12 IB program. There are five excellent schools consisting of one preschool, two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Each of these premier schools provide educational opportunities to 2700 students, including some tuition students who live in communities outside of the City of Falls Church. The school district personalizes learning to support each child’s unique needs and to prepare every student to be a responsible, caring, and internationally minded citizens. Candidates must have or be immediately eligible for a Virginia DOE 8VAC20 Division Superintendent License. Applications will be received through March 10, 2025.
